Toshiba’s Wet and Wild Adventure in Atlantis

So we made it!

All issues about stocks, reporting, laptops, processors, RAM, graphic cards, Ghz speed, etc. were temporarily off. Shutdown!

24th of April 2013, we (me and the Toshiba family) enjoyed and had a blast for our usual getaway celebration… An adventure swimming trip indeed...

You know where? It was in Atlantis. Yeah! Really, it was in Atlantis. But don't make me wrong, it is not the same Atlantis (a legendary island) mentioned by Plato (a Greek Mathematician) in his Timaeus and Critias which was written about 360 B.C. Because even though we want to be in that legendary island (how I wish I will find that Island too), we cannot find that place since scientists, historians, adventurers and writers are also puzzled whether it is just a myth or it is real. But what we had is the Atlantis that you can find in The Palm, Jumeira, Dubai.  It is a waterpark that everyone would love to be there.  Oh! Anyway, for more info just visit: http://www.atlantisthepalm.com/ (I hope they will pay me for this promotion..lol!)

This is not the castle in Temple Run, It is the slide of  "Leap of Faith"

But I will tell you, I won’t forget this trip. Why? Have you ever heard the ride called “Leap of Faith”.  Or are you brave enough to take The Leap of Faith? Actually, that is a slide with over 9 stories and in a mere second it will drop you before you find yourself speeding through a clear acrylic tube surrounded by sharks and rays.  Sounds cool right?! Try it! It is extremely exciting.

Actually, our bosses (Madam Rachielle Araga and Sir Faisal Butt with Sir Jose Rajan) are the people who managed and facilitated this event which is always held after some drastic?? (ok, let say, extreme) event happening in the electronics market in UAE. Therefore, the trip turns out to be a swimming adventure/escapade for all of us. Thanks to these guys in making the trip or let say team building a successful one. And of course, I would like to thank, Mr. Ronald Fonz for the professionally captured moments. In short, thanks for being our professional photographer. Ahehehe… But indeed, all of the pictures are excellent. We really love it.

Toshiba guys at the Beach.
What I like about my Toshiba Family, aside from most of us are having the same wavelength (means all are happy guys), is that they really find a way to be part of the trip (as if we have choice, ahahaha). Anyway, with this trip, we also had a chance of meeting the new guys, the new part of the family but unfortunately I’m not good in remembering their names.  Anyway, I know your faces. But this trip as compared to our previous Ferrari World, it was both excellent.  So comparison is useless. Ahahaha! But I’m still looking for more outings, trips, or adventures like this.

Toshiba guys on the move.

All in all, it was a good and exciting trip. Aside from this trip kills all the stress you’ve got in the selling area, it was also a reminder for me that hard work pays off. Indeed!

So since summer is still in front of us, there are still enough time for you and your friends, family and love ones to unwind and enjoy the company of each other in Atlantis… I’m telling you – it’s worth it.

...the golden rule...

[repost by request].... mula ng magawa ko ang entry na " Time for Sale ", kung saan pinaliwanag na ang oras ay hindi lang ginto (time is gold)...nagkainteres din ako sa konsepto ng Golden Rule... malamang sa malamang sobrang familiar na tayo sa konseptong ito...ano nga ba ang golden rule?....ang sabi sa bible: "Do unto others as you would want done unto you." (Mt 7:12/Lk 6:31) ang sabi naman sa Budismo: "Putting oneself in the place of another, one should not kill nor cause another to kill" ( Harris E.J. 1997 ) ...halos ganito din ang mga konsepto ayon sa Confucianismo: "Never impose on others what you would not choose for yourself" (Confucius, Analects XV.24, tr. David Hinton) ...maging sa Islam ito rin ang sinasabi, sa katunayan isang sermon ni Muhammad na tinagurian The Farewell Sermon ay sinabi nya: "Hurt no one so that no one may hurt you" ...marami pang mga mga organisasyon at relihiyon sa mundo ang naniwala sa k...
